Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Position Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to education and fostering an inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with classroom teachers, providing one-on-one assistance, and small group support, and implementing personalized learning plans to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEND.
- Provide individualized support to students, addressing their unique learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting findings to relevant staff and parents.
- Support with the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of various SEND conditions and effective strategies for support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on students’ lives.
Desirable Skills:
- Additional qualifications in special education or related fields.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience using assistive technology.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Pay: £75.00-£80.00 per day
