PMLD Teacher – Arabic & English Speaking is a must

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate PMLD Teacher to join a new PMLD school based in Qatar working with a dedicated team of people who each want the best for the young learners who attend the school. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges these learners face.

Key Requirements:

• Must speak fluent Arabic.
• Hold a valid teaching license (QTS, ATL, or equivalent).
• Kind and calm nature
• Extensive experience working with PMLD students who have a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and severe medical conditions.
• Knowledge and experience in delivering highly individualized, sensory-based curricula.
• Familiarity with the DfE’s definition of PMLD, and understanding that these students require high levels of adult support for both learning and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver an adult-led, play-based curriculum tailored to each student’s needs.
• Provide continuous sensory exploration and activities throughout the day.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment with a focus on sensory experiences.
• Teach through individual, group, and whole-class approaches, ensuring all teaching is highly individualized.
• Work closely with other staff to facilitate learning and personal development across the school day.
• Support students in their communication, using methods such as gesture, eye-pointing, symbols, and basic language (Makaton) where applicable.
• Provide personal care and support to students with physical and sensory difficulties.
