Position: Permanent Full-Time Role
Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for working with children and young people with complex autism, learning difficulties, and behaviors that challenge? Join our supportive and experienced team. where they provide specialist education for students aged 4–19.
Role Overview:
In this essential role, you will deliver speech, language, and communication support within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment, working to enhance the well-being and educational outcomes for each student. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, patience, and innovative thinking to support the unique needs of each young person in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and Indirect Therapy: Provide both one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs, enhancing communication skills and overall quality of life.
- Trans-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning and therapy plans, ensuring each pupil’s needs are accurately assessed, planned for, and continuously monitored.
- Guidance and Support: Act as a consultant for the teaching staff, advising on strategies to promote speech, language, and communication development, with the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes for all students.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- HCPC Registered Speech and Language Therapist with experience working with children and young people with SEND.
- Strong understanding of autism, communication disorders, and sensory integration issues, especially in an educational setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, balancing individual therapy with group work to meet the diverse needs of students.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
