Job Advert: General SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Prescot
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
Requirement: Must have a DBS on the Update Service
Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Prescot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND.
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting students’ social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
- Previous experience working with SEND students (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.44-£14.00 per hour
Schedule:
