SEND are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in schools within the Stockton Hearth, Warrington area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to children with SEND to enable them to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals to plan and deliver tailored support to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Assisting in the delivery of the curriculum and supporting children with their learning, including with numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
- Supporting children with physical and personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and moving and handling.
- Managing behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all children.
- Liaising with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and providing feedback on their achievements and challenges.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of working with children with SEND in a school or support setting.
- A passion for working with children with SEND and a commitment to helping them achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A patient, flexible, and resilient approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and the wider school environment.
- A willingness to undertake training and development opportunities as required.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 15:30pm, with no weekend work required.
