We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team, supporting children and young people with special educational needs from ages 0-25. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience in educational settings. The caseload will be assigned based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions, assessing individual needs and setting targeted goals each term.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ development.
- Offer training and guidance to school staff on occupational therapy strategies and interventions.
- Maintain detailed session notes, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Stay up to date with best practices and advancements in Occupational Therapy.
Requirements:
- HCPC & RCOT registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities, therapeutic interventions, and sensory integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to develop and implement individualised therapy plans.
- Knowledge of specialist equipment is an advantage.
