Are you passionate about supporting SEND learners and making a real difference in their education? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream secondary school and provide tailored support to students with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and MLD.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist SEND learners throughout the school day, ensuring they can access learning in a structured and supportive environment.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students stay engaged and reach their full potential.
  • Support learners with behavioural needs, using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and classroom adaptations.
  • Assist with social, emotional, and sensory regulation to help students feel safe and confident.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous SEND experience, particularly with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, or MLD.
  • Confident supporting students with behavioural needs in a mainstream setting.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with students.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Pay: £92.00-£100.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • SEND: 2 years (preferred)
