We are looking for a Learning Diversity Coordinator (SENCo) to join a growing, forward-thinking international school in Bahrain. This is a dual role, where you will lead and support the SEND team while being the focal point for inclusive education across the school. Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of SEND provision within the school.
  • Develop and implement inclusive strategies and interventions to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Manage and mentor the SEND team, ensuring high-quality support for students and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with international SEND best practices and safeguarding policies.
  • Train and support teachers in differentiation, accessibility, and inclusive teaching methodologies.
  • Advocate for students with additional needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.
  • Drive whole-school initiatives that promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recognised qualification in SEND, Inclusion, or SEN Coordination (e.g., National Award for SENCo, Master’s in SEND, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a senior leadership role within SEND (e.g., SENCo, Head of Inclusion, Learning Support Coordinator).
  • A strong background in SEND strategy, intervention planning, and student support.
  • Experience in an IB school and/or working in the Middle East is highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of differentiation, assistive technology, and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • A passionate, student-centered approach, dedicated to empowering every learner.
