We are looking for a skilled and passionate SEND HLTA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, preferably within a school, and the ability to take on higher-level responsibilities to support both students and staff.

The Role:

As a SEND HLTA, you will:

  • Provide targeted support for students with SEND on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the classroom.
  • Lead interventions to support learning, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
  • Cover lessons when required, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to implement EHCP strategies.
  • Assist with behavior management and create a nurturing learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting SEND learners (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
  • Ideally, prior experience in a school setting as a TA or HLTA.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £23,000.00-£27,500.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (preferred)

Experience:

  • SEND: 2 years (preferred)
