The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Autistic Teacher to join our team. As an integral part of our school, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the strengths, interests, and needs of autistic learners.
- Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies and adapt your approach as needed.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
- Encourage learners to build confidence, independence, and social skills at their own pace.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching students with ASD in an educational setting.
- A deep understanding of autism and a commitment to a learner-centred approach.
- Ability to utilise a range of communication aids and tools (e.g., visual timetables, PECS, Makaton).
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting autistic learners.

Pay: £32,458.36-£46,608.69 per year
