SEND are looking for a Specialist SEND English Teacher to support KS3 pupils in a SEND school within the local area.

This school is an outstanding SEND provision. Catering for students with a wide range of SEND, from ASD,SEMH,ADHD, ADD and various other SEND.

The post would suit an English Teacher with a specialty in SEND.

All pupils have an EHC plan, in order to maximize their independence, we are seeking an individual to deliver a fun, engaging and relevant curriculum that is flexible to the needs of the pupils. Class size are small however, there are other support staff available so you will be able to deliver fun and engaging lessons.

The successful candidates will:

· Be excellent practitioners with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils’ learning and development

· Have experience of teaching young people with Autism or Special Educational Needs within the secondary sector or have a specific interest in developing their teaching skills in a special school setting.

· Have high expectations of young people, and a commitment to creating a positive environment to ensure that young people can achieve their full potential

· Be able to plan and deliver imaginative and differentiated lessons which meet individual needs

· Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs

· Be able to build positive relationships with the class group, ensuring consistency and continuity on a daily basis.
