Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in Warrington, working full-time in a supportive and dynamic SEND school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure each student receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Support students in both classroom settings and during extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help to maintain accurate records of students’ progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a SEND school or a similar setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, and empathy. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in SEND education or teaching assistance are preferred but not essential.
- Availability: Must be available to start immediately.
