SEND Teacher – Urgent Start (KS2) – Specialist SEND School

Location: Weaverham
Start Date: Urgent – After Easter
Contract: Full-Time, potential to go temp to perm

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking for an urgent start in a specialist SEND school? We seek a committed KS2 SEND Teacher to join a dynamic team and support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Complex Learning Needs.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and bespoke learning experiences tailored to meet the individual needs of KS2 pupils with SLD and additional needs (e.g., communication difficulties, sensory impairments).
  • Work with small class sizes (around 11 pupils) supported by a team of skilled Teaching Assistants.
  • Implement differentiated and creative teaching approaches that promote progress and independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to provide a holistic learning environment.
  • Assess, track, and celebrate student progress using individual learning plans.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (SEN specialism desirable).
  • Experience working with SLD, PMLD, or complex SEND students in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a passion for making a real impact in SEND education.
