Full Job Description

As a multilingual Arabic & English speaking Autism Lead, you will take on a senior leadership role with a focus on leading and developing autism-specific strategies, interventions, and support frameworks across the school. You will work closely with children and their families, the leadership team to ensure the best outcomes for students with autism, guiding staff and supporting them in implementing evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of autism-specific programs and interventions
  • Provide expert guidance and training to staff, ensuring best practices in autism support
  • Collaborate with families, external professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic care and education for students with autism
  • Oversee individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure that all students with autism receive the support they need
  • Assist in the overall management of the school, contributing to its strategic direction and day-to-day operations

Candidate Requirements:

  • Senior Leadership Experience is essential
  • Proven expertise in working with children and young people with autism
  • Leadership experience in an educational setting (ideally similar to a deputy head role)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for supporting students with special educational needs and the ability to inspire and lead a team
  • QTS is essential.
  • Minimum of a BA Degree is essential.
  • 5 years minimum experience working with Autistic Young Learners.
  • A genuine passion for supporting Autistic Young Learners.
  • Experience using interventions that can be used to support Autistic Learners i.e. Non-Verbal Interventions, Sensory Diets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£80,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (required)
  • Preferred certificate in Autism or related field

Experience:

  • Leadership: 3 years (required)
  • ASD: 5 years (preferred)

 

Licence/Certification:

  • QTS (required)

Work Location: In person, Doha
