About the Role
As a Multi-Sensory Teacher, you will:

Deliver highly specialised and individualised teaching and learning approaches for children with deafblindness and multi-sensory impairments.

Adapt communication methods, including tactile signing, visual cues, and assistive technologies, to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Assess and monitor students’ progress at both pre-school and school levels, maintaining detailed and precise records.

Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic and effective education plans.

Provide training and professional development on MSI strategies to educators, therapists, and support staff.
Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Teaching licence and qualifications for teaching children who are deafblind, multi-sensory impaired, or have hearing/visual impairments.

Minimum three years’ experience working with children who are deafblind and/or multi-sensory impaired.

Experience in adapting curriculum, communication methods, and learning strategies to suit individual needs.

Ability to assess and evaluate children’s needs in home and school settings.

Willingness to undertake training on Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD) and gain specialised qualifications in communication methods for deaf and deafblind students.

Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft reports and develop training materials.

Arabic fluency is essential for this role.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.
