About the Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, tailored to their individual needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans and resources to support children’s learning.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in children.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- A flexible and proactive approach to meeting children’s needs.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEND training) are desirable but not essential if you have strong experience.

Pay: £11.44-£14.52 per hour
