Are you a passionate and adaptable Maths Tutor looking to make a real difference? We are seeking a dedicated tutor to support learners aged 16+ in an alternative provision setting.
Our provision is relaxed, supportive, and learner-focused, working with young people who have EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans). We believe in a flexible, individualised approach to learning, helping students build confidence and achieve their potential in maths.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support learners with varying abilities, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles
- Work in a calm and relaxed environment that prioritises student well-being
- Build positive relationships with learners to encourage engagement and progress
- Provide targeted numeracy support to help learners develop key skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience teaching maths to post-16 learners (alternative provision experience is a plus!)
- A patient, understanding, and flexible approach to teaching
- Ability to adapt lessons for learners with EHCPs and SEND needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A passion for making maths accessible, engaging, and meaningful
