Full Job Description

Inspire. Empower. Transform Through Music.

Are you a passionate and creative Music Therapist or Teacher looking for a role where you can truly make a difference? We are seeking an Arabic-speaking dedicated professional to join our dynamic team in Doha and work with children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

This is a unique opportunity to use the power of music to unlock potential, foster emotional expression, and develop essential communication and social skills for students with significant cognitive, physical, and sensory impairments.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess and create individualised music objectives to support learning and therapeutic interventions.
  • Use music-making as a tool to enhance emotional well-being, social interaction, and communication.
  • Work therapeutically with students who have complex medical needs and disabilities, providing meaningful and positive interpersonal experiences.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and therapy sessions that inspire students and promote progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, educators, and parents, to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Document and evaluate progress using video/audio recordings and written reports.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing feedback on their child’s progress sensitively and professionally.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism while maintaining high standards of care and education.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from experienced Arabic-speaking Music Therapists/Teacher with a strong background in working with PMLD students. Candidates should have:

  • Experience supporting students with PMLD, which includes working with individuals who have severe learning difficulties, complex physical needs, sensory impairments, and medical conditions that require specialist interventions.
  • A deep understanding of how music can be used as a therapeutic tool for students with limited verbal communication, using approaches such as sensory music, rhythm, and sound exploration to engage and support them.
  • A creative and adaptable approach, able to tailor sessions to meet diverse and complex needs.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals, including therapists, educators, and medical teams.
  • Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.

Why Join an International School?

  • A rewarding role where you can see the direct impact of your work.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training in PMLD-specific music therapy approaches.
  • A chance to be part of an organisation that values creativity, inclusion, and excellence in education.
