SEND is seeking an Outreach Coordinator at an Autistic School in Doha, you will play a vital role in connecting the school with the community, organizing awareness events, and building partnerships to support autistic learners. This position requires a trained teacher (QTS or an American Teaching License) with a passion for advocacy, able to collaborate with families, professionals, and external organisations to enhance learning opportunities. We are seeking someone who can;
- Community Engagement: Raising awareness about autism and the school’s mission by organising workshops, events, and informational sessions for families, educators, and the general public.
- Partnership Building: Collaborating with local and international organisations, NGOs, Ministry of Education to develop partnerships, secure resources, and foster inclusion for autistic students.
- Support Services: Acting as a liaison between parents, the school, and external professionals such as therapists and healthcare providers to ensure students receive holistic support.
- Advocacy and Awareness: Promoting understanding and acceptance of autism through advocacy campaigns and educational initiatives.
- Resource Development: Assisting with fundraising efforts, grant writing, and securing sponsorships to provide additional resources for the school.
- Program Development: Helping to develop outreach programs that extend beyond the school environment, focusing on community-based learning, vocational training, and life skills for autistic students.
