Pediatric Physiotherapist – SEND School
Location: Relocation to Bahrain
Job Summary: An independent school specialising in children with mild to moderate learning difficulties seeks an experienced Physiotherapist. This relocation role to Bahrain requires expertise in working with children and young people with additional needs. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to support students’ physical development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Intervention:
- Conduct assessments of students’ physical abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement individualised physiotherapy intervention plans.
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Therapy Services:
- Provide direct physiotherapy services to students, individually and in groups.
- Support children with conditions such as dyspraxia, developmental delay, and motor coordination difficulties.
- Integrate physiotherapy into classroom settings as required.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with teachers, parents, and professionals to support students’ physical development.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents and external agencies.
- Program Development:
- Contribute to developing the school’s internal physiotherapy provision.
- Assist in implementing outreach programs to extend support beyond the school.
- Provide training and resources to staff and parents to enhance support for students’ physical needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised institution.
- Current registration and licensure to practice as a Physiotherapist.
- Previous experience with children and young people with additional needs.
- Proficiency in assessing and managing physical conditions in children.
- Understanding of motor development and physical challenges in children.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated with best practices.
