About Us

We are a vibrant and inclusive mainstream school committed to nurturing all learners, including those with SEND. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive and grow. Our Nursery and Reception classes are at the heart of our early years provision, and we are dedicated to providing tailored support to help our SEND learners flourish.

The Role

  • Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies in line with EHCPs.
  • Use communication aids, sensory resources, and other tools to engage and support learners.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the children’s confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Support children in personal care tasks where necessary, maintaining their dignity and comfort.

Requirements

  • Essential: A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years/Nursery Education.
  • Essential: Experience working with SEND learners, particularly within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Strong understanding of child-led learning and a commitment to nurturing each child’s potential.
  • Knowledge of sensory needs and effective strategies to support regulation and engagement.
  • Calm and proactive approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete this).

Why Join Us?

  • A supportive and inclusive school community.
  • Opportunities for professional development and SEND training.
