Join an amazing team in London, as a SEND Pastoral Caseworker

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive? Can you make connections and meaningful working relationships with young learners aged 16-25? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Pastoral Caseworker to join a dynamic specialist SEND provision in the Barnsley area!  The ideal candidate would be someone who has SEND knowledge & experience along with a relational approach.

Our specialist provision empowers young learners who have faced challenges in mainstream education and have additional needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Autism Learners (ASC), and ADHD. In this full-time, permanent role, you will play a crucial part in making a real difference in their lives!

Your Role:
As a SEND Pastoral Officer, you will:

  • Build positive relationships with students and their families
  • Implement practical strategies to support disengaged learners
  • Collaborate with external agencies like Social Services and Mental Health teams
  • Assist with record-keeping and contribute to SEND meetings
  • Help students identify career pathways and secure work placements

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in special education (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
