About the Role:
This role involves teaching young learners with additional needs, focusing on creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled teaching assistants and other professionals to deliver tailored lessons that support the educational and personal development of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned and delivered creative, individualised lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team to ensure the holistic development of each student.
- Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Implement and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalized learning strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with ASD or within a SEND setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND best practices and approaches to managing behaviours.
- A compassionate and patient individual who is committed to making a positive difference.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
