We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team. Our school supports children and young people with special educational needs, ranging from ages 0 to 25. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience in educational settings. Caseloads will be assigned based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions for students.
- Assess students’ communication needs and set individualised therapy targets each term.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication development.
- Offer training and guidance to school staff on speech and language strategies when needed.
- Maintain accurate session notes, adjust therapy targets, and provide updated recommendations as required.
- Stay up to date with best practices and advancements in speech and language therapy.
Requirements:
- HCPC & RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children, preferably in SEN or educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of a range of speech and language disorders and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to develop and implement individualised therapy plans.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children in reaching their communication goals.
- Experience with AAC and Dysphagia is desirable.
